Challenges & Execution:
Navigating the complexities of secure job sites requires a nuanced understanding and a high degree of discretion, particularly for military sites and airports with strict access guidelines. Ensuring compliance with background checks and maintaining open communication with local client contacts are essential for the smooth execution of each assignment. The nature of many aviation and transportation projects demanded meticulous planning to accommodate flight schedules without disrupting ongoing operations.
The execution of each project begins with a detailed review of blueprints and planning documents with project managers and designers. This collaborative effort results in a prioritized shot list tailored to capture the essence of each project.
Virtual location scouting is performed using our extensive tool kit of photography planning software, identifying best lighting conditions for key aspects of the project. Ideal production schedules are carefully arranged to utilize daylight, magic hour, and twilight lighting from dawn to dusk, while also working around flight schedules and normal operations.
Production plans are sent to Mead & Hunt and local facilities contacts for review and approval before every shoot. Efforts are consistently aimed at minimizing disruption, occasionally necessitating evening shoots for interior photography and video capture, to avoid impacting the normal operations. Redundancy was built into each production schedule, to account for the potential of weather or flight schedule delays.
